Red Hot Chili Peppers cancel second gig as singer's hospital stint continues

Red Hot Chili Peppers have pulled another gig as singer Anthony Keidis recovers from intestinal flu.

The group previously cancelled a show at KROQ's Weenie Roast in California on Saturday (May 14).

It a new statement, the band confirmed they will also pull out of playing at the iHeartRadio Theater in California on Tuesday (May 17).

Anthony Keidis is expected to make a full recovery.

They said: "Due to Anthony Kiedis' hospitalization from complications from the intestinal flu on Saturday evening, the Red Hot Chili Peppers regretfully must postpone their upcoming concert for iHeart Radio on May 17th.

"They would like to extend their gratitude to the fans for the outpouring of well wishes. Anthony is expected to make a full recovery soon."

Red Hot Chili Peppers meanwhile will release their new album 'The Getaway' on June 17.
