Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis was involved in an altercation with hotel security at the weekend.

The US star seemingly got into a scrap with staff at the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia on Friday as he tried to enter the building with a female.

TMZ, who obtained video footage of the incident, say that extra security was laid on at the hotel because The Rolling Stones were also staying there.

It is said that they were trying to restrict entry into the Four Seasons at the time so that the veteran rockers could come and go easily.

The video sees Kiedis trying to enter the hotel before getting into a scuffle with a security man, with the duo later making up.

It was suggested that the staff member thought the Chili Peppers was a Stones fan trying to meet the band.

Speaking to TMZ about the incident, Kiedis simply said: "I love the Rolling Stones'.
