POWERS DEBUT ANTICIPATED NEW SINGLE “SUNSHINE” TODAY
Produced by Mike Del Rio and featuring the soaring vocals of Crista in the hook, “Sunshine” is the first single from POWERS’ anxiously awaited full-length debut, arriving this Fall. The duo have spent most of 2016 crafting the new album alongside powerhouse producers such as Mark Rankin [Adele, Florence + the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age] and Rich Costey [Foster the People, Muse, Santigold]. After supporting X Ambassadors this Spring followed by a slew of festival dates including SXSW, Bonnaroo, Hangout, and Firefly, POWERS return to the stage announcing two special summer dates in California. They’ll perform at The Echo in Los Angeles, CA July 12 and Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, CA July 14. POWERS initially lit up pop music in 2015. In addition to garnering acclaim from Noisey/Vice, Idolator, Pigeons and Planes, Neon Gold, and more, they’ve landed multiple hits at the top of HypeMachine. Their breakout “Beat of My Drum” is currently being used by Garnier and has notched over 24.5 million plays on Spotify. They also had massive reaction with “Loved By You” which has accumulated 3.5 million-plus plays on Spotify. iTunes placed them on their coveted Emerging Artists Spotlight, and they’ve also topped Spotify’s Viral Chart.
