FEATURES THE VIRAL TITLE TRACK “PASSPORT HOME”
NEW YORK, NY (May 12, 2017) – Today, The CRITICALLY applauded international sensation JP Cooper releases his brand new EP Passport Home [Republic Records] TODAY. It’s available HERE.
Passport Home features the VIRAL single and title track “Passport Home.” Since its initial release last month, the track has already cracked 3 million Spotify streams and counting. It offers the perfect introduction to JP’s inimitable combination of alternative, folk, reggae, and pop brilliantly displayed on the EP.
The song lives up to its title. While recording in Los Angeles during a rare spell of rain, he exited a cab as a loud splash occurred in a nearby drain. The next morning, upon going to the airport, he realized the splash was caused by his passport going down the drain. “Passport Home”recounts that tale.

He recently made his North American debut with unforgettable performances on both coasts in New York and Los Angeles. Right now, he’s traversing the UK for a string of sold out shows, serving as a victory lap in tandem with the EP’s arrival.
In 2016, JP Cooper's collaboration with Jonas Blue, "Perfect Strangers," became a viral smash around the world. It generated over 630 million streams globally and sold over 7.3 million units globally, turning heads amongst gatekeepers. In addition, JP recently delivered a powerful performance at the semi-final of The Voice in Holland.
