Rihanna has teased fans with a new picture from the recording studio.

The singer released her last album 'Unapologetic' in 2012 and it seems the 'Stay' star is busy on its follow-up.

She took to Twitter today (June 30) to post a photo of a studio mixing desk along with the caption '#R8'.

The news was greeted with a passionate response from fans, with one user commenting:

"Can't wait!!! And hopefully that means another world tour very soon!"

'Unapologetic' meanwhile gave Rihanna her first No.1 record in the US, with the album also achieving the same feat in the UK.

Her previously highest placed album in the US meanwhile was 2007's 'Good Girl Gone Bad', which peaked at No.2.
