Rihanna on 'aggressive and soulful' new album

Bajan beauty Rihanna has opened up about her forthcoming new studio album and teased that it is 'soulful and aggressive'.

The superstar explained to V magazine that she's loving the direction this new record has taken and it has a lot of emotion behind it, which can be heard both in the lyrics and in her vocals: "Dude, I'm in love with my interludes. This one called 'James,' joint is on constant repeat. [The album is] soulful and aggressive, whether it's lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice."

As previously reported, Rihanna also told the publication that she needs to feel 'stimulated' by a project in order to commit to it: "I run away from anything that does not stimulate me. I often find myself gravitating toward the underground. There is a certain creative freedom there that you can't experience anywhere else."
