Rihanna won't join Taylor Swift on stage: 'She's a role model, I'm not'

Superstar Rihanna has revealed that she won't be joining Taylor Swift's growing squad anytime soon because she feels they're a little too different.

When asked by the NME if she would ever join the 'Wildest Dreams' beauty on a tour in the future, Rihanna admitted that their aesthetics don't really go together so she doesn't see it happening:

"I don't think I would. I just don't think it makes sense. I don't think our brands are the same: I don't think they match, I don't think our audiences are the same. In my mind she's a role model, I'm not."

Rihanna is the first cover star of the new free edition of the NME and it launches on Friday, September 18. You can pick up a copy at UK stations, universities and music venues, as well as retail stores. NME editor Mike Williams opened up about the decision to make the publication free:

"The cat is out of the bag, and I couldn’t be more excited. For the past few months we’ve been working in secret here at NME on the next phase of our evolution. The goal, throughout all of our research and development, has been to find new and inventive ways to connect with you, our audience, better than ever. In the 63 years since NME launched we have evolved and transformed plenty of times. The evolution of 2015 is our boldest ever move, and I’m delighted to be able to share the news with you at last."
