Rihanna equals Beatles' US chart record with 'Work'

Rihanna is now tied with The Beatles in the list of the most weeks spent at No.1 in the US.

The singer's Drake collaboration 'Work' has stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for another week - its eighth to date.

This means that the Barbados star now has now accumulated a total of 59 weeks at No.1 in the US.

She is tied with The Beatles' record, which places them as having the second-highest amount of weeks at the top.

The two acts, however, are well behind the leader Mariah Carey.

The vocalist has spent a massive 79 weeks at No.1 in the US.

Boyz II Men meanwhile have spent 50 weeks at the top, while Usher has reigned for a total of 47.
