Rihanna sent pizza and towels to fans queueing for Manchester gig

'Umbrella' songstress Rihanna delighted fans waiting in line for her concert in Manchester last night by sending them a special delivery of hot pizza and clean towels because the weather was so bad.

One of the fans who received some pizza told the The Manchester Evening News that it was a lovely gesture that went hugely appreciated: "We couldn’t believe it. The pizza was only sent to our side of the queue. It was sent with a message from Rihanna, apologising for the weather."

Earlier this month, Rihanna reached a new certification level in the USA with her 2012 full-length offering, 'Unapologetic'. The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed that she is now the RIAA's No.1 digital single artist.
