Rihanna wins Shoe of the Year prize for her Fenty Puma 'Creepers'

The winners of the 'Shoe Oscars', which is held annually by Footwear News, were announced this week and "Where Have U Been" sensation Rihanna landed a prize.

Rihanna won the coveted Shoe of the Year title for her Fenty Pumas and she issued a statement on her win, in which she expressed gratitude for the recognition:

"In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined an honour like ‘shoe of the year’. It means so much to me to make a mark like this in the shoe and sneaker industry and to have so many people share my love for the creeper."

Back in September Rihanna's long-time stylist, Mel Ottenberg, spoke about her "ravenous" appetite for fashion and described her as passionate and innovative in that department: "The challenge with her is she always wants to try something new, so I have to know what works, yet also try to push things forward, because this girl has already worn a million amazing outfits. She has a ravenous appetite for fashion."
