The Barbadian beauty Rihanna experienced a sudden UK surge in sales of her fifth studio album, 'Loud', over the festive period.

According to the Official Charts Company the record, which is already double Platinum in the UK, shifted over 300,000 copies this week (ending December 26) and was given the push it needed to secure another week at number 2 in the album charts. 

Last night the 'Only Girl (In The World)' hit maker tweeted:

"306,107 this WEEK in the UK! You sneaky little fans you! I love u guys, Thank you!!! Santa was good to me..."
