Rihanna on new album: 'I want people to feel a spirit of hope when they listen to it'

Bajan beauty Rihanna has admitted that her forthcoming new album, 'Unapologetic', embodies how she currently feels and she hopes that the songs inspire the same emotions in her listeners.

Speaking to Vogue in a behind-the-scenes video taken on the set of her new cover shoot, Rihanna explained that she wants her fans to walk away from the record with "a spirit of hope" because that's 'the place' she is in at the moment:

"When people listen to my new album I want them to walk away with a spirit of hope. A light spirit. That's the place I'm in and I want them to see that and I want them to feel that."

Referring to the risque cover art for 'Unapologetic', which is due to be released on November 19, she added: "I've gotten a lot more fearless, a lot free-er and a lot more comfortable with who I am. I've started to infuse that in my fashion as well as my music."
