Rihanna says 'Diamonds' is her favourite single to date: 'It used to be 'Umbrella' but not any more'

Bajan sensation Rihanna has revealed that her new single, 'Diamonds', has overtaken 'Umbrella' as the favourite track she has ever worked on.

During a recent live Facebook chat with her fans, the songstress explained that the song really got under her skin and it had a real impact on her:

"It used to be 'Umbrella' before 'Diamonds' came along. It's a really powerful song even to listen to. It just gets you, you just get sucked in. Even if you're in the club, it really f**ks with your head."

She added that she can't wait to perform it live on her upcoming tour as it "just gets you" and she thinks the crowd reaction will reflect that.

Last week, Rihanna explained that the music video for 'Diamonds' is especially poignant because its "a series of vignettes" that convey the emotion she feels when performing it:

"With 'Diamonds,' it was just a series of vignettes that we put together to help get the emotion across throughout the song because the song changes and it builds, and there's no real way that you could do that. You just want people to feel that and I wanted little cutaways of interactions that would give you the right emotion."
