Rihanna has officially embarked on her 777 tour.

The Diamonds singer, along with press and fans, boarded the 777 jet last night to embark on performing in 7 cities in 7 countries in 7 nights.

The 24-year-old tweeted a picture in front of her exlusive jet, with the words "#777tour is about to jump start, my foot is about to touch the plane!!#HTC #unapologetic".

Rihanna performed her first concert in Mexico, and tweeted pictures of the exclusive tickets with the caption: Mexico City, #777tour touch down! Limited tix avail at El Plaza Condesa now. Come get it #Navy! #HTC".

This morning the superstar tweeted "thank you Mexico, I love u! #1 down, 6 more to go!!! Country number 2, Canada! Toronto here we come #777tour #HTC ".

The tour is promoting the release of her upcoming album 'Unapologetic', which is the singer's 7th album in 7 years. Rihanna's single 'Diamonds' went number 1 on iTunes this week, and she was this year named as the UK's second biggest female singles artist of all time.

The “777” tour will proceed as follows:  Wednesday, November 14th in Mexico City; November 15th in Toronto; November 16th in Stockholm; November 17th in Paris; November 18th in Berlin; worldwide release date, Monday, November 19th in London; and Tuesday, November 20th in New York City.

Rihanna said "I am so excited about the 777 Tour. We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus. We're practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press...it's going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n' roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the coolest thing I've ever done. I'm that excited about it."
