Rihanna was forced to tell off her fans for throwing crisps at her on stage.

The singer was performing in Manchester on Tuesday (July 16) when the odd incident happened.

It has been reported that the 'Stay' star was an hour late on stage at the concert - continuing Rihanna's worrying trend for tardiness.

Video footage has emerged of the singer berating some of her fans for pelting crisps onto the stage, which were said to have been chucked in protest of the star's late arrival.

Rihanna originally said: "This is next level, there is a good crazy and there is a bad crazy, but when you throw s**t up here, that's an epic fail. I swear to God, cut that s**t out."

She then added: "Really? Chips? Chips, though - it's that important? Ok Manchester, for those of you who want to [get] jiggy and have a good f**king time, say my name!"

It is said a number of fans encouraged themselves to throw the potato snack after someone chucked a gift for Rihanna onto the stage.
