Rihanna shed tears on stage after fans gave her a rousing reception as the end of her tour nears.

The singer was appearing in Lille, France on Saturday (July 20) when everything seemed to get too much for the 'Stay' star.

She was filmed breaking down in tears as she reflected on the European leg of her Diamonds world tour, which ends on Saturday (July 28).

Rihanna said on stage: "I don't know what the f*** I'm crying about. I can't believe this s***. Y'all make me so happy. To stand here and feel the love in this room.

"The Diamonds tour is nearly coming to an end and I hate this part - I hate saying goodbye."

The French reception was somewhat different meanwhile than when she performed in Manchester recently, with some fans pelting her with crisps.
