Rita Ora scores fourth No. 1 UK single

Rita Ora has notched up her fourth chart-topping single with her latest release ‘I Will Never Let You Down’.

Rita enjoyed three visits to the No. 1 spot in 2012 in the form of a collaboration with DJ Fresh on ‘Hot Right Now’, ‘R.I.P.’ featuring Tinie Tempah and ‘How We Do (Party)’.

‘I Will Never Let You Down’’s chart placing now ties Rita Ora with former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell as the UK female artists with the most solo No. 1 singles.

Last week’s No. 1, ‘Wavves’, by Mr Probz has now dropped to No. 2. The rest of this week’s top five is made up by John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ up one to No. 3, Calvin Harris’ ‘Summer’ down two to No. 4 and Kiezsa’s ‘Hideaway’ down two to No. 5.

Other than Rita Ora’s No. 1 debut, other new entries to this week’s chart come from 5 Seconds of Summer at No. 19 with ‘Good Girls’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘One’ has made it to No. 20 just 48 hours after being released, Janoskians’ ‘Real Girls Eat Cake’ at No. 37 and Twista’s ‘Hope’ featuring Faith Evans at No. 39.

After last week’s Eurovision Song Contest a number of contestants have now appeared in the UK singles chart.

Austria’s winner Conchita Wurst is the second-highest new entry to the chart as ‘Fly Like A Phoenix’ soars to No. 17. This week’s highest climber comes from the Dutch runners up The Common Linnets with their track ‘Calm After The Storm’ rising 86 places to No. 9. Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen ‘Undo’ has also charted at No. 40.
