Rita Ora on her rebel past: 'I styled myself to be really punk and not clean'

'I Will Never Let You Down' songstress Rita Ora has revealed that her style when she was younger was grunge and punk-inspired.

Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, the beauty explained that she favoured the 'unwashed' look and accessorised with cheap jewellery that enhanced her outfits:

"I would rip my T-shirts and be really punk and not clean. And I would have blonde hair, really dark eyebrows, red lipstick, lots of fake rings that made my fingers go green."

The superstar added that she and her friends felt confident and cool: "I wouldn't be smelling that great, but me and my friends, we were really, like, rebel-y. I feel like I lived a lot when I shouldn't have."

Ora's full interview with Marie Claire, in which she also opens up about her failed relationship with Calvin Harris, will hit newsstands on June 23.
