Rita Ora has suggested that her new album got delayed because of her split from Calvin Harris.

The singer and the Scottish DJ dated for a number of months before breaking up last year.

Fans have been waiting patiently for a second record from the 'Hot Right Now' the star and it is finally set to land in the autumn.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Ora said that she got "distracted" by her private life.

The singer said: "This whole impression that my album hasn't been an easy process is really bollocks. It's not that it hasn't been, it's that I've put personal issues first because I'm a girl.

"I was distracted and got carried away and it didn't really work out.

"I was affected by it so I just put everything on hold because I was a sulky 24-year-old and I was hurt. And now I'm back."
