Rita Ora annoyed by people's incessant interest in her love life

Songstress Rita Ora has revealed that it's very difficult to be taken seriously as a woman in the entertainment industry because people are often more interested in asking questions about your love life than about your art.

She told the Evening Standard newspaper that it's disappointing to think your personal life can overshadow all the hard work you put into carving out a career for yourself:

"The work is forgotten overnight if you're seen with a person or something like that. It's more like, 'Give me the respect that I deserve as a hard-working independent female'. That's really the bottom line of it. The mental capacity that people have - don't fill it with nonsense. Again, maybe I just need to have no personal life."

Back in September, Ora told Billboard that her forthcoming new album is something she's very proud of: "I recorded it in London and it's very much based from where I grew up, how I grew up. It's the most honest album I've ever put out. There's live instrumentation and melodically, I've worked with some incredible writers, who I really appreciate. We're all young and we're all hungry."
