Rita Ora has written two break-up songs: 'I get angry and emotional'

'Shine Ya Light' hitmaker Rita Ora has revealed that she has written a couple of break-up songs.

The beauty dated Scottish DJ Calvin Harris for a while before they split back in 2014 and she explained to The Sun newspaper that she felt it would be cathartic to pen tracks about her love life:

"I've got about two of those records. But the thing is, I get angry first then I get emotional. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate that person and then I'm like, 'Wait a minute, hold on...'"

Ora went onto add that heartbreak and love have been big points of inspiration where her new music is concerned: "It's amazing because it is a big transition in my life. It's definitely the most emotional album I've ever done, but not in a sad way. It's angry, it's happy, it's love - it's everything in one."

Last year, she told Wonderland that splitting from Harris was tough and she wanted to hide herself away for a while: "At the time…I just wanted to crawl in my bed and die. But I got out of it the other side, I'm surviving. I kind of saw the light at the end of the tunnel and I just wanted to change the vibe of the whole album, it was initially a really lovey-dovey album because that's where I was, but then I obviously didn't feel like that. I was like, "Okay, I need to get back in the studio and write some 'thank God my friends are great' kind of music."
