Robin Thicke says he doesn't know if he will ever record music with Miley Cyrus.

The pair made headlines at the MTV VMAs in 2013 when they performed together.

The sensual dance moves of Cyrus were called into question by many watching at home.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, Thicke said he expects this this year's VMAs to similarly attract attention when Cyrus hosts them in late August.

He said: "I’m going to hear about it the next day no matter what. I think it’s exciting.

"We’re definitely interested and she’s shocking on, she’s entertaining."

When asked if he will ever work with Cyrus, Thicke replied: "I don't know."
