Robin Thicke has been confirmed to perform at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.

The singer has been added to the line-up for the glitzy ceremony, which is taking place in Amsterdam on November 10.

The news will strike fear into some as Miley Cyrus - who danced so provocatively with Thicke at August's VMAs - is also on the bill.

Other names due to perform at the shindig include Katy Perry, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack and Imagine Dragons.

Thicke commented on his addition: "I am grateful and excited to be nominated and performing at this year's EMAs. I know it will be an amazing night!"

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the EMA nominations with five nods each.

Contemporary soul star Thicke meanwhile performed his hit track 'Blurred Lines' on the UK X Factor at the weekend.
