Sam Smith has revealed plans to tour the UK next year.

The singer, who reclaimed the No.1 spot on the albums chart on Sunday (September 7) with 'In The Lonely Hour', will play eight shows in March.

The run will kick off with two dates at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on March 16 and 17 before it hits Manchester.

There will be shows in Wolverhampton before the tour ends with a brace of dates in London on March 25 and 26.

Tickets will go on sale from Friday (September 12). The full schedule is as follows:

• 19 Manchester, O2 Apollo
• 20 Manchester, O2 Apollo
• 22 Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
• 23 Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
