Sam Smith has revealed that he is brimming with ideas for his next record.

The singer released his debut effort 'In The Lonely Hour' earlier this year and it became a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Brit took to Twitter on Sunday (November 30) to tease fans with the prospect of another "honest" record.

Smith said: "Already have so many ideas flowing through my mind for album 2. Brace yourselves...When you think it couldn't get more honest..."

The singer meanwhile recently opened up in an interview about his songwriting inspiration.

The 'Stay With Me' star said: "My life inspires my music. I write in a very raw way; my music is a diary, I've been willing to give myself away and show everyone my flaws and ups and downs of my life through my music."
