Sam Smith has suggested that he might feature on Rihanna's next album.

The 'Stay' star has been working for a number of months on her eighth record, but details are currently scarce.

However, Smith told Entertainment Weekly that he knows details about the album that "no-one else" does.

Speaking about his hopes for 2015, the Brit said:

"I'm personally very excited for Rihanna's album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows."

Earlier this year, Smith revealed in an interview that he previously worked with Rihanna's songwriters and felt like contributing songs to the singer.

However, he ultimately decided to create tracks for himself.
