Even when he’s not working Sam Smith still puts his vocal cords to good use.

In a candid video captured by Sam Smith’s boyfriend, Jonathan Zeizel, the ‘Stay With Me’ star has been caught singing an a capella rendition of Beyonce and Jay Z’s ‘Drunk In Love’ (see video below).

Zeizel, who posted the video on Instagram, captioned his short clip: “Sam or Bey?”

Sam Smith has previously spoken about being a fan of Beyonce. He recently told the BBC about meeting the ‘7/11’ star at the VMAs:

“I thought I'd freak out. I'd put her on such a high pedestal she'd become un-human. Then you meet her and she is just a human. A very talented human, but just a human.”

Sam Smith will find out later today if his album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ has returned to No. 1 on the UK chart.
