Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' returns to the top of the chart for the fifth time

‘In The Lonely Hour’ by Sam Smith has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the UK album chart yet again.

Now enjoying its fifth non-consecutive week at the top, ‘In The Lonely Hour’ has moved up two places to reach No. 1.

Smith’s debut album has not left the top ten since its release back in May 2014.

Completing the top five is Ed Sheeran, a non-mover, at No. 2 with ‘X’, George Ezra’s ‘Wanted On Voyage’, last week’s chart-topper, has now slipped to No. 3, Taylor Swift, another non-mover, with ‘1989’ at No. 4, and Olly Murs is up one to No. 5 with ‘Never Been Better’.

There are no new entries to this week’s album chart.
