Sam Smith on loneliness: 'I hope there will be less lonely moments than there have been recently'

Vocal sensation Sam Smith has been feeling lonely recently and revealed to On Air with Ryan that he has been struggling to deal with this, but hopes it passes.

During a new interview with Ryan Seacrest, which took place this morning on KIIS-FM, the superstar explained that even people who have others around them all the time can feel isolated and alone, and he hopes these feelings lessen in time:

"I think everyone has moments of loneliness throughout their lives. You could be married and be the happiest person in the world, but there will be nights you’re alone and wish you were with someone or wish your partner was with you. There will always be lonely moments, I just hope there are less of them than what there has been recently.”

Seacrest also asked Smith about his recent admission that he would like to give Beyoncé his GRAMMY if he wins over her, and he confessed that he was joking because winning that award would be an honour: “It was more of a lighthearted joke. I think I’d like to keep it to myself.”
