British singer-songwriter Sam Smith hosted a fan Q&A on his official Twitter page earlier today (February 6) and opened up about how he deals with negativity. 

One follower asked him, "how do you personally deal with hate & other negative bulls**t because I know it hurts sometimes," and he publicly replied to her and confessed that he calls home and talks to his mother: "Call my mum. She always knows what to say."

The interactive session was in support of the upcoming GRAMMY Awards, where Smith is up for an impressive 6 prizes, and he told his fans that he has to get back to his healthy eating regime now in preparation for the ceremony on February 8 in Los Angeles: 

"Thank you all so much for your questions. That was so funny haha!! Now I gotta go drink and eat some more healthy shit lol x #grammybody."

The sensation is favorite to win at this year's ceremony and bookmaker William Hill has placed the Brit as the favourite in at least three of his categories.
