Sam Smith: 'I've stopped falling for straight men now'

British singer-songwriter Sam Smith has opened up about his difficult love life and confessed that he seems to have a habit of falling for straight men.

Speaking to ES magazine recently, the vocal sensation admitted that he won't be falling for any more men who are unsure of their sexual orientation because it never ends well and he doesn't want to go through that again:

"I've stopped falling for straight men now. After the last one, there's no way it's going to happen to me again."

"The record [In the Lonely Hour] was therapy, closure, it saved me. I've written a song about another person recently. You know I split up with someone a few weeks ago?"

Referring to his recent break-up, Smith added: "Nothing dramatic happened. I made a mistake by posting pictures of us on Instagram and making it seem more serious than it was. I flew him to Australia and we had a nice time. We just weren't very compatible, but I've learned that I need to hold off before I start getting the public involved."
