Sam Smith has confirmed a summer forest gig.

The singer will play at Thetford Forest, Suffolk on July 3.

Tickets will go on sale from 9am UK time on Friday (March 6).

The concert forms part of the Forestry Commission's Forest Live summer concert series.

Other acts confirmed to perform for the Commission include The Vamps, The Script and Paloma Faith.

Smith's 2014 record 'In The Lonely Hour' meanwhile returned to No.1 on the UK albums chart on Sunday (March 1).

It was the first ever albums chart tally to include streaming data.
