The young star, who has been linked to teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, began by talking about the problem of cyber bullying and explained that the intention of her new single, 'Who Says', is to inspire her fans:

"I love it. It's extremely inspirational and it just makes me feel rally good to have a positive message out there right now."

"It gets to me, obviously, and that's why I try and reach out to my fans because I understand it."

The 'Wizards of Waverly Place' starlet also revealed that she has a film, 'Monte Carlo', coming out later this year and spoke about her new fashion line:

"I love what I do. As long as I'm happy and, you know, my fans are happy I care about doing all that stuff!"

“I’m definitely insecure,” she told Z100.com. “I go through things every day where I nit pick things about myself. I come up with scenarios in my mind of what is the worst thing that could happen. I end up blowing it way out of proportion. I don’t trust myself as much as I think I should.”

Gomez also admitted she was distraught when she saw footage of the earthquake and tsunami that recently ravaged Japan.

“It was really hard for me to watch it,” she said. “My mom woke me up and she called me and I turned on CNN. I had spent a whole week there, I met my fans there, I got to meet incredible people. It was one of the hardest things I think I ever had to see.”

In addition to her summer tour, Selena is on tap to release her third album, and will star in Fox's feature film "Monte Carlo" which will be in theaters July 1.

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 22, 2011 /e/ -- For the first time, the OC Fair will welcome teen sensation Selena Gomez on Sunday, July 24 and punk rockers Tiger Army/The Blasters on Saturday, July 30. The Fair will also welcome back Paul Rodgers on Wednesday, July 27, and Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo on Wednesday, August 3, all as part of the 2011 OC Fair Summer Concert Series. As always, concert and action sports tickets include Fair admission. Select shows are on sale March 26.

"Within that world there's such easy access to people's feelings, so I think that this song is such a great message for my fans."

Gomez also avoided questioning on Justin Bieber when asked and hid her face in her hands, laughing, before addressing the negativity she has experienced during her career:

"You can get a thousand wonderful comments, but just one will throw you off and that's how it is with me."
