Selena Gomez on music: 'It is very vain'

'Come & Get It' beauty Selena Gomez has revealed that she thinks the music industry is very vain and always heavily centred around one person.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the difference between music and film, the superstar explained that she enjoys being able to work within both fields because they're so different in terms of how they focus on the individual:

"If I can be very honest, I think music is very vain and it tends to be about one person all the time. When you are welcomed into a project with people who are all there to do something to make it great, there's something you get out of that that you can't get out of music. It keeps me sane."

Gomez has just finished shooting a new indie movie called 'Rudderless', which also stars William H. Macy, and it's about a man who discovers his deceased son's music and decides to form a band in order to bring it to life.
