Selena Gomez says Taylor Swift is 'begging' her to move to New York

Selena Gomez has revealed that Taylor Swift wants her to live in New York City.

The 'Shake It Off' star has a base in the east coast city and it seems she is keen on having her celebrity friend make the move too.

Speaking to E!, Gomez said: "I'd love to spend time in New York. I've always said that I want to have a love affair and live there...Taylor has been begging me to live there. She's like, 'It's the best decision I've ever made'.

"Everyone always says I'm more New York when they meet me so maybe it would be good for me. I don't spend enough time there."

Gomez meanwhile recently admitted in another new interview that she has had to spend the last year figuring out how to be "grounded" in life.

The singer, who went to a rehab facility at the turn of the year, said: “It’s been such a transitional year for me - I moved out of my parents’ house this year and into my own place. I also took my first break ever and have been using the time to really concentrate on what makes me happy.

"Sometimes, I’ll be honest, I don’t handle all of this as well as people think, so it’s been important to really figure out what makes me feel grounded.”
