Selena Gomez: 'The selfie has become so powerful'

'Rudderless' actress Selena Gomez has revealed that while she stops to meet fans, they barely have any interaction because they're all so concerned with finding the right angle for a photo.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, the beauty opened up about how the most important thing seems to be taking a great picture and actual interaction takes a back seat:

"When I go to an airport and there are a couple of fans there it's everybody prepped for the perfect selfie. By the time I exit a cloud of the chaos I realise I haven't actually spoken to any of them because they were all focussed on the right angle of the selfie. It's kind of powerful now."

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight recently, Gomez teased that she has some exciting things coming up: "Lately, I've been begging people to just take an audition with me. I've got a few surprises coming up. Within the next two months I think people will be seeing some stuff that I've been working on the past year."
