Selena Gomez: 'There's a lot to be thankful for, this is a good time for me'

Songstress Selena Gomez has opened up about her new song 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' and revealed that the public's reaction to it has been inspiring and overwhelming.

Speaking to 101.9 AMP Radio recently, the beauty explained that grown adults have approached her in the grocery store to tell how her much the emotional track resonates with them:

"I am so excited. There's a lot to celebrate and a lot to be thankful for. I'm excited - this is a good time for me. I've been watching the reaction and it's been unbelievable. I'll have adults coming up to me and talking about the song, it's incredible. When you release something that vulnerable and that honest, you never know what to expect [...] I was nervous about the timing of it all and where I'd be mentally. It's so real, you know?"

When asked what she's planning to do for Thanksgiving this year, the beauty explained that it will be a family affair: "I am going home. I'm really excited... I'll have home-cooked meals and my family, and my little sister... it'll be so good. I never get out of my pyjamas (on Thanksgiving)."
