Selena Gomez on the paparazzi: 'I feel like they're professional hitmen'

Superstar Selena Gomez has revealed that she lives in fear of the paparazzi because she understands how vital getting the best intrusive pictures of celebrities is to them.

During a new interview with 101.9 AMP Radio, the beauty explained that she loves to drive, but often feels threatened by the presence of photographers as she knows they'll stop at nothing for that all-important shot of her:

"I literally feel like they are professional hitmen, so as much as I try to trick them and get away... I promise you, I think there are people that have been paid to just know the ins and outs of the streets. It's crazy. I'm always nice to them because at the end of the day I feel sorry for them... I don't understand it."

As previously reported, Gomez also spoke about the public's reaction to her new single: "I am so excited. There's a lot to celebrate and a lot to be thankful for. I'm excited - this is a good time for me. I've been watching the reaction and it's been unbelievable. I'll have adults coming up to me and talking about the song, it's incredible. When you release something that vulnerable and that honest, you never know what to expect [...] I was nervous about the timing of it all and where I'd be mentally. It's so real, you know?"
