Selena Gomez: 'Being in the studio is like therapy'

'The Heart Wants What It Wants' hitmaker Selena Gomez has revealed that writing new material is therapeutic and helps her through difficult times.

During a new interview with Norway's NRJ Radio, the beauty confessed that there's something incredibly cathartic about working on music in the studio:

“I definitely have so much respect and love for [Bieber], and going in the studio is very therapeutic. It was my way of having it be a message more to people in general. People everywhere feel this feeling, and they should understand when anybody goes through that when they go through something you just can’t help what you want and who you love.”

Gomez then went onto confirm that she is single following her split from blonde-haired Justin Bieber and when asked if she's seeing anyone else at the moment, answered: “No, I’m not, actually."
