Selena Gomez: 'It's hard to convince people I'm right for certain movies'

Singer and actress Selena Gomez has revealed that she hopes to score more acting roles this year, but it's something that always makes her nervous.

The beauty, who starred in 2013's Rated R offering 'Spring Breakers', explained to America's OK! magazine that she often has a hard time convincing people to hire her for projects, but she loves the challenge and believes it helps her to grow as an actress.

The 'Heart Wants What It Wants' hitmaker confessed:

"It's tough to convince people that I'm right for certain films. I get so uncomfortable on auditions, and it's humbling in a wonderful way and making me a better actress. Whatever comes next, I can't wait."

Gomez also opened up about learning life's hard lessons, adding: "I'm still young and going through the confusion women my age are feeling. Sometimes your mistakes are going to teach you more about life. I have to tell myself I can't be perfect and that I should enjoy all the good things that are happening."
