Selena Gomez has revealed details of her next film role.

The singer and actress will star opposite Paul Rudd in the movie The Revised Fundamentals Of Caregiving.

The flick is being directed by Rob Burnett and Gomez will play the role of Dot.

The female lead has been described as a "sassy" woman who hitches a lift with Rudd's character Ben.

Also in on the trip is a teenager with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, who Ben cares for.

Filming for the movie will start on January 22 in Atlanta.

Gomez meanwhile uploaded a picture of herself online from the recent Golden Globes ceremony with Rudd.
