Selena Gomez: 'I did contact Katy Perry after shooting the 'Bad Blood' video'

Songstress Selena Gomez has cleared up rumours that suggest she phoned Katy Perry after shooting the 'Bad Blood' music video with Taylor Swift to reassure the star that she had no ill intentions towards her.

Speaking to New Zealand radio's The Edge Afternoons yesterday (June 30), the beauty admitted that while she did call Perry, it wasn't to discuss the music video and she instead rang her up for a personal conversation because they're good friends.

Gomez confessed that the chat they had was purely friendly and they didn't mention the much talked about visual offering for Swift's latest single: "That's false, I love Katy. I just talked to her. She's amazing. But I didn't talk about that, but i just talked to her. She's awesome."

Gomez went onto add that she does struggle with seeing lies written about her in the press, but tries not to let it bother her: "I think it's going to always happen but at the end of the day people see it. So if people were to say, 'hey, she's pregnant,'  well they are going to see in nine months that I'm not. It's just kind of obvious when things are blatant lie— things are going to come into the truth instantly."
