Selena Gomez has overcome her insecurities: 'It's very exciting'

'Good For You' songstress Selena Gomez has revealed that she finally feels free after overcoming her insecurities.

The beauty shared a message with her followers on Twitter last night (September 4) and confessed that she feels comfortable in her own skin now, but used to worry about how her voice sounded because it has a low pitch:

"I was always insecure with my speaking voice because it's so low. I never felt like it was feminine-sounding. I didn't know it would be such an asset to who I am now, though. It adds a cool, personal quality. It's exciting."

Gomez, meanwhile, will release her highly anticipated new studio album 'Revival' this fall and recently told German magazine Jolie that she was inspired by the rap genre when working on the offering: "This time I've really let myself be inspired by rap sounds. But generally, I just want to make feel-good songs that make people want to dance."
