Selena Gomez is predicted to top the US albums chart with her latest effort.

The singer and actress released her second full solo album 'Revival' on Friday (October 9).

Billboard have revealed that the studio effort is expected to shift over 110,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

This should give Gomez her second No.1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, with 2013's 'Stars Dance' the first.

The final position is due to be revealed on Sunday (October 18).

The Game's 'The Documentary 2' is set to land at No.2 on the chart.

Meanwhile, the UK albums chart midweek update - revealed on Monday (October 12) - placed Gomez's record at No.7.

This would give the singer her highest charting album in the UK yet.
