Selena Gomez has topped the US albums chart for the second time

Selena Gomez's new album 'Revival' has reached No.1 in the US.

The singer released the effort on October 9 and it shifted 117,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

This was enough to place the Interscope record at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

This gives Gomez her second No.1 album on the list, following on from 2013's 'Stars Dance'.

85,000 units of the US star's first-week sales were of pure album sales.

The record features the singles 'Good For You' and 'Same Old Love'.

The Game's 'The Documentary 2' is in at No.2 with 95,000 units, while The Weeknd’s 'Beauty Behind the Madness' follows at No.3.

Janet Jackson's new effort 'Unbreakable' drops from No.1 to No.8.
