Selena Gomez: 'I think the music industry could use a little female sexism'

Selena Gomez thinks a "little female sexism" is healthy in the music industry.

The singer opened up to James Corden on his Carpool Karaoke segment on Monday (June 20) about Taylor Swift's 'squad'.

The host suggested that the gang - which features the likes of Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner - is a "a bit sexist".

Gomez replied: "I think this industry could use a little female sexism.

"I think we have a right to be that way, it’s a lot harder to do what I have to do."

The singer and Corden later sang Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' during the video.
