Selena Gomez proud of Bieber: 'This is what I always saw in him, why I believed in him'

'Good For You' hitmaker Selena Gomez has revealed that she is proud of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

Chatting to Billboard magazine about the 'Sorry' superstar's amazing career, she confessed that it's great to see him doing so well because she knew he was capable: “I’m proud of him. This is what I always saw in him, why I always believed in him.”

When asked if she is still in contact with the Canadian sensation, she said: “We’re on good terms, but no.”

She also explained that she isn't influenced or inspired by the career evolution he has gone through, adding: “No. This is my time. I’ve deserved this. I earned it. This is all me.”

As previously reported, Gomez also talked about how she is treated by the press:

“I’m so f—ing nice to everybody, and everyone is so vile to me. I’ve been working since I was 7. I’ve been a UNICEF ambassador since I was 17. It’s so disappointing that I’ve become a tabloid story. It took away everything I loved about this business.”
