Selena Gomez makes 10-year-old cancer survivor's dream come true

Singer and actress Selena Gomez took time out from her schedule to surprise a fan in New York City.

10-year-old Frehley Gilmore from Wisconsin was previously diagnosed with stage 3-4 cancer and recently had the tumour removed so is cancer free, but The-Make-a-Wish foundation asked Gomez if she would consider helping give Gilmore the best day ever.

Gomez turned up to Manhattan's Serendipity and surprised Gilmore who was talking unwittingly to a Good Morning America reporter.

She said: "You know, me and my mom make a tradition every time we come to New York, which is a lot for my job, we always used to come here together, so it was my mom and daughter place."

The 'Like A Love Song' beauty added that doing things like this make her undeniably happy: "It’s probably one of my favorite things that I do for my job. It makes me happy to come out and do this. I feel like I’m not doing enough."
