Selena Gomez: 'My new single isn't about Justin Bieber'

Former Disney sensation Selena Gomez has opened up about her new single and revealed that it wasn't written with a specific person in mind.

The hitmaker's new offering, entitled 'Come And Get It', boasts suggestive lyrics such as "I love you too much, much to hide you/This love ain't finished yet," but she told Ryan Seacrest that although people might think she's singing about ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, she isn't:

"It's not really about a specific person... It exudes confidence and strength and that is something I'm willing to share with the world..."

"I want to represent something good and be a good example."

Writing on her official Twitter page about the overwhelming reaction to the song, Gomez thanked her fans for being so supportive:

"U guys crashed http://www.ryanseacrest.com  amazing!! And you made #BuyComeAndGeItOniTunesTONIGHT trend. #selenatorsarethebest trend that. :)"
