Superstar Selena Gomez has revealed that new photographs of her and Justin Bieber together surface every now and again because despite having split up they still enjoy hanging out.

Speaking to the Associated Press about the constant reports that appear suggesting that they have reunited as a couple, the 'Come & Get It' beauty explained that if any pictures are shared of them together it's because they are still friends and spending time together:

"I've known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other's company every now and then. But I'm definitely single and enjoying being that."

She also recently confessed that she will always stand up for and defend Bieber because she knows how tough the press can be: "He and I have had such a history together. I'll always care about him and protect him if anyone tries to be mean."
